Texas Institute for Applied Environmental Research
Our Mission
TIAER conducts scientific research, economic inquiry, and institutional, statutory and regulatory analyses to address pressing environmental issues facing the state and nation. Our research, projects, and studies are typically applied toward solving environmental problems. More often than not, the focus of our work is water resources — quality and quantity — and how the terrestrial landscape contributes and interacts with our water resources. While the rural and agricultural landscape is often a research and project focus, within recent years we are increasingly involved in the urban environment and urban streams and lakes.
